Students who need to stay in Korea longer than permitted period need to apply for visa extension.
- Students with GPA higher than C (accumulative GPA 2.0): Application form, Certificate of Enrollment, Transcript, Residence Card, Fee
- Students with GPA lower than C (accumulative GPA 2.0): Application form, Certificate of Enrollment, Transcript, Residence Card, Fee, Certificate of bank balance amounting to 8,000,000 KRW or higher
- Students with attendance 70% or higher: Application form, Certificate of Enrollment, Transcript, Residence Card, Fee
- Students with attendance lower than 70%: Application form, Certificate of Enrollment, Transcript, Residence Card, Fee, Certificate of bank balance amounting to 8,000,000 KRW or higher
All foreigners with visas permitting a stay of more than 90 days and who intend to stay for more than 90 days after the date of arrival must apply for a Residence Card at the local Immigration Office. A Residence Card will be issued within 4 weeks after application is processed. It is a requirement when applying for most services in Korea, it is advised that Yeungnam University students have it issued as soon as possible.
